Split bolt connections join, crimp, or combine main copper earth conductors with tap conductors. Brass line taps are made from high-tensile brass in compliance with British Standard BS 2874-CZ112. The nut’s threads are made by a rolling process, which gives it extra clamping force. The pressure pads are made from extruded bras rather than cast bras, which prevents them from separating. Brass line taps are electro tinned natural brass that has been passivated. Copper with a high conductivity is also available. These have been tested and meet international standards such as BS, DIN, UL, and IEC.
